30th Anniversary Dinner

Manitoba Down Syndrome Society (MDSS),

It is with absolute excitement that I am announcing the much anticipated 30TH Anniversary of the MDSS!

We are limited to what we are able to do in relation to celebrating, however, we are still going to Celebrate in a big way!

The MDSS will be hosting its 30th Anniversary on November 20th at the South Winnipeg Community Center 1885 Chancellor Drive.  This event will take place between 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Subsidized Cost is as follows:
MDSS Members: Adults $15; Children 3 to 11 years $10
Non-members: Adults $20; Children 3 to 11 years $15
Children under 3 years – Free
*Cost of meals to the MDSS: $32.95 Adults $22.95 Children
Tickets must be purchased and paid for in advance by November 11th.  There will be absolutely no registration for dinner at the door!

We will also be premiering a very special project that we have enlisted the talented Jeremy Williamson to create for us.

Over the past many months Jeremy has worked tirelessly interviewing the trailblazers who made the MDSS possible to begin with, some of the important people who have kept it relevant over the years, up until this very day, including those who continue to volunteer their time to make sure families have somewhere to turn for friendship and support. I was thrilled to be a part of this very important project and I cannot wait to see the final results!

We will also be featuring another fun project that my good friend and also talented Ron Suchoplas has been working hard on. This video will feature our very own members and the original creators and singers of the incredible song titled, “Brothers and Sisters”. If you recall, we had asked families to take part in the making of this video and you did not disappoint.

The doors open at 5:00 PM, supper is served at 6:00 PM and the videos will be premiered at the conclusion of supper.

***Every attendee that can be fully vaccinated, must be and must be able to show proof along with identification. All attendees will be required to wear a mask while walking about and when they are not seated. Masks may be removed at your table while seated only***

This will be a first come first serve event so be sure to secure your tickets early!
In the event of Provincial Health changes occurring, we will have to make adjustments accordingly!

Thank you,
Kris Yunker
President of MDSS
