Social Clubs For Teens and Young Adults

Livewires: Twelve young adults, age 20 to 25, gather twice per month with paid staff and volunteers (no parents allowed!) to have good times together! Karaoke, shooting hoops, games, just hanging out, along with an occasional outing, are some of the things they do. This group has been together since 2006!

Dynomite: Our brand new club, patterned after Livewires, is for youth aged 12 to 17 and is just getting up and running. Like Livewires, Dynomite will meet twice per month.

Buddy Nights: Buddy Nights happen 5 or 6 times a year for our young adults. Parent coordinators create an event and advertise it to the membership. It is open to any young adult who is an MDSS member can register. Registration is limited, and is on a first come, first served basis. Past Buddy Night activities have included attending dances and karaoke nights at the Fort Rouge Leisure Centre, bowling and pizza nights at Academy Lanes, dinner out at a variety of restaurants, and even dinner and a play at Celebrations Dinner Theatre.
