We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Walk With Us in 2023!

As we gear up for the big day, we wanted to share some exciting updates that will make this year’s walk truly memorable:

1. Entertainment Extravaganza:

Be prepared to be amazed by our talented magician Ryan Price who will captivate us with mind-boggling tricks and illusions.

Groove to the beats of the fantastic band Men in Cheap Suits as they serenade us with their electrifying music.

2. Prizes Galore:

This year, for our city walkers, there will be two prizes.

Most Funds Raised: Rally your friends, family, and coworkers to support your fundraising efforts and stand a chance to win our coveted “Most Funds Raised” prize.????

Best Overall Team Spirit: Get ready to unleash your team spirit like never before! This is more than just an award; it’s a celebration of your enthusiasm, camaraderie, and unwavering support for the MDSS. So, gather your teammates, don those team colours, and let’s see who can bring the most infectious energy to our walk! ????

Taking the Show on the Road?

We would like to profile all of our amazing members who are supporting this event in communities across the province. We encourage you all to send in a short write up showcasing the creative ways you’re participating, the community support you’re receiving and photos from your event. We will be highlighting these on our website, social media and e-newsletter.

3. Raffle and 50/50:

Don’t forget to participate in our raffle and 50/50 for a chance to win some amazing prizes donated by our generous community sponsors.

Registration begins at 12:00. During this time there will be food (pizza and drink for small purchase). There will be Buzz and Boomer, the Winnipeg Police community relations unit with a police car, outdoor games, silent auction, 50/50 and more!

The walk starts at 2:00. Starting at CMU – it’s a walk up Grant to a beautiful path through the forest. Up to Roblin then over to Shaftesbury back to CMU. It is stroller/wagon friendly. There is no rush, go at your own pace – usually takes an hour.

Post walk – 3:00ish. There will be more music, dancing, silent auction, 50/50 draw and MDSS announcements & prizes!
