MDSS Active Youth Program – Winnipeg
Empowering Youth Through Movement, Connection, and Confidence!

We are excited to launch the MDSS Active Youth Program in Winnipeg! This program is designed to help youth with Down syndrome aged 9 to 17 build physical literacy skills, develop confidence in sport and recreation, and make meaningful connections with peers.

Thanks to the generous support of the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program, we are thrilled to offer this enriching opportunity to families in our community.

Program Details

Start Date: January 31, 2025
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: Bronx Community Centre (720 Henderson Hwy, Winnipeg, MB)
Schedule: Monthly sessions from January to June 2025
Cost: $30 for the full program and includes a healthy snack at each session.

What to Expect:

For Youth:  Learn the fundamentals of movement and physical literacy to build confidence in sport, recreation, and life.
Develop social skills and form lasting friendships in a fun, inclusive environment.

For Parents: Connect with other parents in the MDSS community and share experiences while supporting your child’s growth and success.

Who Can Participate?
This program is open to youth with Down syndrome. We welcome participants of all abilities and look forward to fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
