See Me Beautiful 2024 – Hybrid Event

We are pleased to welcome Danielle McKinney to headline this year’s See Me Beautiful conference!

Danielle is a BC-certified teacher with a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Victoria. She has recently completed a graduate diploma in inclusive education and earned her Master of Education degree in Special Education from Vancouver Island University. Her thesis centered around using Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to support learners with Down syndrome in inclusive classrooms.

Since 2011, Danielle has been dedicated to fostering literacy and numeracy skills in children and young adults with Down syndrome at the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation. She enjoys the creative problem-solving process involved in teaching students with exceptional needs and values the opportunity to work collaboratively with families and other professionals to support these learners.
