We’re excited to launch the 2025-2026 season of MDSS Social Club!
About
MDSS Social Clubs provide fun, inclusive, and parent-free social programming for young adults in our community. Meeting twice monthly September through June, Social Clubs facilitate meaningful friendship, foster social connectedness, and support interpersonal skills.
This year we’ll be meeting Saturday evenings twice monthly, and club time remains the same: 6:45 to 9:45 p.m. Event dates are currently being confirmed and will be posted soon.

Logistics
There is no parking lot for the church, but there is plenty of street parking. Please use the front entrance. If the door is locked, please ring the doorbell for someone to let you in. Club will be held in a gym with a beautiful hardwood floor, therefore, participants need to bring indoor shoes and change into them in the lobby. If someone forgets their shoes, they will need to participate in their socks. The gym is on the second floor, and it can be reached via stairs or elevator.
The cost of the social club is greatly subsidized by the Manitoba Down Syndrome Society. Fees only cover about one third of the program costs. The fee for the 2025-2026 program is $200.00, to be paid at the time of registration. If the cost is prohibitive for any participant, the caregiver should contact the MDSS Executive Director, Jubilee Dueck Thiessen, at info@manitobadownsyndromesociety.com before registering.
