Good morning Manitoba Down Syndrome Society and Agencies

Return to school has been in the news this week. Many families are struggling with education concerns. What’s the best thing to do?

Then, though not disability-specific I am providing a link to a release from Sick Children’s hospital and their excellent guidance document. Although published in Ontario, the document about the public health implications for children about schools reopening was a collaborative effort between SickKids, CHEO, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, Kingston Health Sciences Centre, Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre, McMaster Children’s Hospital and Unity Health. Pediatric and adult infectious diseases specialists, epidemiologists, pediatricians, psychiatrists, public health officials, teachers and parents provided input.
