For 20 years the Down Syndrome Research Foundation has been serving the Down Syndrome community. Initially they were only able to provide information and programs to local families, but they have since expanded their reach across the province of BC and throughout Canada. With connections to experts and organizations in many different countries, and with the ease of internet communications, their reach is now also international in scope.

During the last thirteen years they have worked very hard to develop their expertise in the areas of speech and language development, reading and communication, and social and emotional development. They are now working just as hard to distribute this expertise to the wider community.

One of the great resources they provide is their quarterly newsletter, Hand in Hand, which contains current and relevant information which may be of great interest to our families.
